President’s Message:

Welcome to the Eastside Republican Club website! I would like to personally invite you to consider joining our ever growing family. Founded in 1985, The ERC exists to provide a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment for Republicans from the eastside of King County. Our club also provides an opportunity to get to know other republicans and to become involved with the political process.

Each month we enjoy a delicious buffet-style dinner and are entertained by an exciting, fun-filled and informative program. Our program features some of the most influential community leaders, radio and television personalities, GOP party leaders, as well as Republican elected office holders and candidates working towards it, at all levels of government. Our club also supports the efforts of some very patriotic individuals and groups who provide support to our deployed troops and their families.

Here are some important things for you to know - our annual dues, a mere $25, are collected in March. Joining the club entitles you to a 30% (40% per couple) discounted club program entry fee, a personalized name badge, club emails, postcard notification of monthly programs, and much more. The remaining program dates for 2008 are as follows: (TBD). We don’t have programs in July, because of Independence Day, or in November because of Election Day.

Each December, we celebrate with a gala holiday dinner auction. It is the only fund raising event we put on during the year and the funds raised help sustains club operations. We hold both a silent and live auction of items donated by our members, and enjoy a delicious dinner. It is a perfect time to pick up some great gifts for the holidays, and hey, it’s a great party.

I invite you to add our website to your favorites. It will keep you informed of the current and upcoming monthly programs, speakers, book club; it has a gallery of pictures of members, and links to other important sites. Stay tuned to the website, it is being upgraded every month!

    I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.

    I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.

    I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.

    I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.

    I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations, and that the best government is that which governs least.

    I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.

    I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.

    I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.

    FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
